Some straight talk from NYC Mayor Bloomberg today on the Arizona law and comprehensive immigration reform.
Asked about the new law, Bloomberg said, “This is not good for the country. I don’t agree with it…it does show we need comprehensive immigration reform from Washington and the president should lead that…and I’ll be behind him supporting him 100 percent.”
He went on to say that the U.S. “is committing national suicide” by failing to pass comprehensive immigration reform.

The NYC City Council also got into the fight yesterday, passing a resolution in support of comprehensive immigration reform, which the NYCLU testified about on Monday.
