Shakira, Shakira!
Yesterday the Colombian pop star took a message of “immigration reform now” to the White House during a meeting with President Obama and Vice-President Biden on work she’s done in support of early childhood development programs in Latin America.
According to a report of the meeting at The Cable:
“White House officials told Shakira that they hope to reach an agreement this year with the Republican Party to legalize undocumented immigrants.”
We’re hoping they’re doing a little more than just hoping.
Shakira has made a name for herself as a global humanitarian working on a broad array of education and human rights causes. Not to mention some amazing music videos and dance moves.
