Join the Capitol Region Chapter in Albany on Tuesday, Feb. 28 for the New York Immigration Coalition’s 2012 Immigrants’ Day of Action!
This is a great opportunity to meet with your elected officials and urge them to support the rights of immigrants all across New York. This past year, the NYCLU closely monitored state and local police collaborations with Border Patrol; responding to immigration raids on domestic trains and buses and aggressive enforcement actions in communities along our state’s border with Canada.
It is up to you to educate your lawmakers on these important civil rights issues.
The day-long event includes informational programs, a march and rally, legislative visits and cultural performances. If you're passionate about immigrants' rights, take a day trip to Albany to bring the voices of immigrants to the state capitol!
