Join the NYCLU's Suffolk County Chapter at our annual meeting to discuss the controversial and ever-changing history of free speech rights in the United States.
Our keynote speaker is NYCLU Legal Director Arthur Eisenberg. He will discuss the right to free speech, the importance of protest and recent Supreme Court decisions that test the limits of the First Amendment. He will also discuss notable civil liberties cases on Long Island.
In addition, come hear about the work of your local NYCLU chapter and cast your vote for the Suffolk County chapter’s Board of Directors. Refreshments will be served.
