The NYCLU fights for the rights of LGBT individuals in a number of ways. Our advocacy focuses on outreach, community organizing, public education, trainings, forums, direct advocacy with local and state legislators, and of course, Pride celebrations.

Get your voice heard!
Calling your representative, both in the Senate and the Assembly is a great way to get your voice heard. Writing a hand-written letter is also a powerful way for your legislator to hear from you. Click here to find out who your legislator is.
