Your Papers Please: What the Real Act Means for American Values
Dec 11 2007 - 7:00pm / 9:00 pm
New York is the only state in the country that signed a contract with the federal government to implement a national identity card. National IDs would violate Americans' privacy rights by helping to consolidate data and facilitate tracking by the government. The government, your employer and your neighbors don’t need to know where you go or what you buy!
Join elected officials, community advocates, statewide experts
and representatives from the New York Civil Liberties Union as they discuss what the Real ID Act means for you.
The open forum is 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 11 at the First Unitarian Church, 220 Winton Road South in Rochester.
