Video Production Intern
The New York Civil Liberties Union (NYCLU) is one of the nation's foremost defenders of civil liberties and civil rights. Founded in 1951 as the New York affiliate of the American Civil Liberties Union, the NYCLU is a not-for-profit, nonpartisan organization with seven chapters and 48,000 members statewide.
The NYCLU is a proven guardian of New Yorkers’ First Amendment rights, including the rights of filmmakers and photographers to freely perform their craft. Recently, it led a grassroots campaign that persuaded New York City to revise proposed rules that would have severely restricted a wide range of casual photography and videotaping in public places.
