Civil Liberties Discussion Series: Lobby Training
In three weeks, hundreds of New Yorkers and thousands of Americans will gather for the ACLU's National Membership Conference in Washington, D.C. June 8-10 to discuss critical civil rights and civil liberties issues. They will hear from national experts, Congress Members, and Supreme Court justices, and strategize on how to advance the civil liberties movement in the United States.
New Yorkers will also have the opportunity to lobby their congressional delegation on key civil rights and civil liberties issues.
In preparation for these lobby visits, Udi Ofer of the NYCLU will provide an in-depth lobby training as part of the NYCLU's continuing Civil Liberties Discussion Series.
Please join us Tuesday, June 3 at 7 p.m. in our offices at 125 Broad Street on the 19th floor.
Pizza and drinks will be provided to get the discussion going.
Please make sure to RSVP by sending an email to cdugger@nyclu.org or calling 212-607-3388.
And don't forget to register for the 2008 Membership Conference!
