A Buffalo Discussion on Comprehensive Immigration Reform
Join us at the Unitarian Universalist Church of Buffalo on Tuesday, March 30 for a community discussion on how comprehensive immigration reform can benefit citizens and immigrants alike. The discussion will aproach this large and important issue from several angles, including immigrant, religious and civil liberties perspectives.

Fredonia Event Merges Live Music and Know Your Rights Info
On October 29, the Western Regional Office joined local student groups in hosting a "Know Your Rights and Surviving Police Encounters" event at the Wishberry Cafe in downtown Fredonia. In addition to the Know Your Rights session, the event featured live music by The Broadcast and Chris Bell.

NYCLU "Rocks the Vote" at the Albright-Knox
The NYCLU at "Rock the Vote"
The NYCLU "represented" Saturday, November 1 at the annual Western New York “Rocks the Vote” Concert held at the venerated Albright-Knox Art Gallery in Buffalo.
More than a hundred Western New Yorkers caught the sounds of local bands: Type Relevant, Davey O, The Found, Redwater, and The Thermidors. There was a little something for everyone, ranging from jazzy hip hop to folk to rock to some classic rock and roll.
Organizer Mario Ezekiel Hernandez represented the Western Regional Office, distributing voting rights cards and providing information on so many of the programs and work of the NYCLU.

NYCLU Celebrates Pride 2008
Volunteers from the NYCLU's Western Regional Office, joined more than 8,000 supporters at this year's Pride Celebration and march from Kleinhans Music Hall to Bidwell Park.
