NYCLU membership automatically extends to the national American Civil Liberties Union and to your local chapter, where one exists.

Membership includes a year's subscription to both the NY state affiliate newsletter, NYCLU News, and the national ACLU newsletter, Civil Liberties. Members also vote to elect the board of directors. Two members of one household may hold a joint membership, allowing for two votes in election proceedings and affording the NYCLU greater strength in lobbying efforts.
