Francesca Abruzzo
Francesca joined NYCLU in May of 2025 and currently serves as the organization’s Development Assistant. Prior to NYCLU, she worked as a Direct Mail Coordinator at MissionWired, where she managed logistical and creative operations for dozens of fundraising programs in support of a progressive clientele. Additionally, she served as an intern at California Common Cause, where she conducted research dedicated to promoting equitable redistricting practices. Francesca also supported organizing efforts during the 2024 Illinois primary election, and conducted voter outreach on behalf of progressive state senatorial campaigns in the Chicagoland area.
Francesca holds a B.A. from the University of Southern California, where she studied Law, History, and Culture with an emphasis on comparative literature and decolonial studies. She is passionate about coalition building, especially as it concerns criminal justice reform, disability justice, and the empowerment of the Filipino diaspora & larger AAPI community.
