Lupe Victoria Aguirre

Lupe Victoria Aguirre is a staff attorney at the New York Civil Liberties Union. A proud child and sibling of immigrants, Lupe is committed to advancing the rights of immigrants and racial and social justice. Prior to joining the NYCLU in 2020, Lupe was a Bertha Justice Fellow at the Center for Constitutional Rights where she engaged in legal and policy advocacy to promote immigrants’ rights and address government misconduct in the areas of policing and mass incarceration. She also participated in the Immigrant Justice Corps fellowship where she provided direct services to individuals in removal proceedings and individuals seeking immigration relief before the U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services. Lupe earned her B.A. from the University of California, Los Angeles and her J.D. from the University of California, Berkeley School of Law.
