21st Annual Sing Out for Freedom Concert

Tickets are now on sale for the 21st annual Sing Out for Freedom benefit concert on Monday, November 13th at 7:30PM at the Skirball Center in downtown New York City!  Hosted by Amber Ruffin, this year’s concert offers incredible talent, renowned musicians, and key social justice activists. 

Your ticket purchase supports the ACLU and NYCLU’s work in the ongoing fight for civil liberties. This year’s theme is Sing Out for Freedom: Life, Liberty, and the Pursuit of Fabulous and will highlight the NYCLU’s work to protect all New Yorkers from discrimination, including work with New Yorkers for Equal Rights to ratify the Equal Rights Amendment and work with the ACLU Drag Defense Fund to defend LGBTQ+ Rights.

About our Host:

Amber Ruffin is a writer, executive producer, and host of the Emmy and WGA Award nominated series “The Amber Ruffin Show” on Peacock. She is also an Emmy and WGA Award nominated writer and performer for NBC’s “Late Night with Seth Meyers.” Ruffin was the first African American female to write for a late-night network talk show in the U.S. She has written and performed on shows like “Detroiters,” “A Black Lady Sketch Show” and “Drunk History.” Ruffin has written for the Emmys, Golden Globes and Tonys. She was previously a performer at Boom Chicago in Amsterdam, the iO Theater and the Second City in Chicago. Ruffin is a New York Times bestselling author, along with her sister Lacey Lamar, of “You’ll Never Believe What Happened to Lacey: Crazy Stories of Racism.” She co-wrote the most Tony nominated musical of 2022, “Some Like it Hot.” Ruffin is now writing a revival of “The Wiz” which tours America beginning fall of 2023 and lands on Broadway spring of 2024.
