The Candidates go on record: A presidential forum on civil liberties

The New York Civil Liberties Union, Nassau Chapter, will hold its annual winter meeting with a presidential forum in Hempstead. “The Candidates go on record: A presidential forum on civil liberties” will take place Thursday, Jan. 24, at 7:30 p.m. at the Cultural Center Theater at Hofstra University.

Hofstra Professor of American History Mike D’Innocenzo will moderate the panel asking representatives of each candidate to comment on a variety of civil liberties issues, such as wiretapping, the death penalty, racial bias in the justice system, the Real ID Act and extraordinary rendition.
