"Documented" Film Screening and Panel Discussion with Dreamers

September 16, 2017 @ 10:30 am 1:30 pm

Join the New York Civil Liberties Union for a screening of filmmaker Jose Antonio Vargas' "Documented," followed by a panel discussion with Dreamers (Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals).

In 2011, Pulitzer Prize-winning journalist Jose Antonio Vargas outed himself as an undocumented immigrant in the New York Times Magazine. His film"Documented" chronicles his journey to America from the Phillipines as a child, his public struggles as an immigration reform activist, and his journey inward as he reconnects with his mother, whom he hasn't seen in 20 years.

Bagels will be served at 10:30am and the screening starts at 11:30am. Tickets are $15 for members and $20 for the public.
