In conjunction with the Annual Meeting of the American Psychiatric Association, join the New York Civil Liberties Union to celebrate the 45th anniversary of the declassification of homosexuality as a mental illness with a play about the man behind the mask—the courageous gay psychiatrist whose activism served as the catalyst for that dramatic milestone in LGBT civil rights. The play "217 Boxes of Dr. Henry Anonymous" was written and directed by Obie-Award winner Ain Gordon.
After the show, stay for an interactive discussion with the playwright and James Esseks, Director, LGBT & HIV Project, ACLU.
