Town Hall: Lockport

February 25, 2020 @ 6:00 pm

Many school districts across the state are spending millions of dollars on invasive biometric surveillance technology such as face surveillance software.

The state is allowing schools to spend public funds on biased, unproven, and potentially dangerous surveillance systems that infringe on student privacy and fuel the school-to-prison pipeline.

Join students, advocates, and policy experts to discuss the impact that surveillance technology has on students in the Lockport City School District. We’ll also talk about solutions that hold students accountable, allow them to learn from their mistakes, and keep them in the classroom.

This event is part of a series of town halls taking place across New York State.
