In the aftermath of Hurricane Sandy, the New York Civil Liberties Union’s central offices at 125 Broad Street in Lower Manhattan remain closed. Nevertheless, our work defending and promoting your rights and liberties as embodied in the U.S. Constitution and the New York Constitution moves forward. We have relocated our staff to temporary offices near Times Square.

How to Contact Us

We are receiving mail, and you should continue to address all mail to our 125 Broad Street office. Our staff is available by email, but our phone system is not currently operating at full capacity. Meanwhile, for general inquiries, you may reach us at (212) 735-7814. Our temporary fax line is 212-735-4176. As always, we are pursuing a number of extremely important issues through litigation and grassroots advocacy. Please visit www.nyclu.org, or follow us on Twitter and Facebook, for the latest updates on our work.

Thank You for Your Gifts

If you made a donation, thank you very much! We hope you will bear with us if it takes us a bit longer than usual to acknowledge your generosity. Online gifts through our website are getting through and are greatly appreciated. Thank you for your patience and support as we overcome these challenges.
