Renowned Journalist Amy Goodman to Speak at NYCLU Nassau’s Annual Cocktail Party

On Sunday, the Nassau County Chapter of the New York Civil Liberties Union will host its 49th Annual September Party on Long Island, featuring a talk by nationally renowned journalist and author Amy Goodman.

On Sunday, the Nassau County Chapter of the New York Civil Liberties Union will host its 49th Annual September Party on Long Island, featuring a talk by nationally renowned journalist and author Amy Goodman.

Goodman is the host and executive producer of Democracy Now!, an independent, award-winning news program that airs daily on more than 800 TV and radio stations in North America. She has authored four New York Times bestsellers, including her latest book, Breaking the Sound Barrier, a compilation of stories about ordinary people standing up and speaking out.

The chapter will present Goodman with its Jerry Bishop Guardian of Liberty Award in recognition of her commitment to exposing the truth, preserving justice and providing a voice for all people.

The September Party, held in Roslyn this year, is an annual fundraising event for the Nassau County Chapter.
