Jackson May Retract ‘English-Only’ Rule
The Jackson Town Board has scheduled a public hearing in June to consider repealing a local ordinance passed in March 2010 codifying English as the only official language of town business...Those same complaints were leveled at Jackson’s "English only" law by the New York Civil Liberties Union in April 2010.
