Bye-bye, Big Brother. A Long Island town has ended its controversial practice of using images from Google Earth to crack down on homeowners who built pools illegally. Riverhead's Town Council made the decision Wednesday, earning applause from privacy advocates. "They could be spying on everybody for all sorts of things," said Donna Lieberman, executive director of the New York Civil Liberties Union. "We have been enforcing our laws for hundreds of years without spy satellites."
