Testimony on Impact of COVID-19 on the Workforce
As COVID-19 outbreaks continue to grow across the country, and an increasing number of New Yorkers are headed back to work, there remains an acute need for stronger protections in the workplace to prevent the spread of COVID.
Two important problem areas that state officials must address are the needs of the agricultural workforce, and expansion and clarification of the Emergency Paid Sick Leave Law enacted in March of 2020.
