13th Forward Advocacy Day

The 13th Amendment abolished chattel slavery – but it is still allowed “as a punishment for a crime,” resulting in a prison system in New York that exploits incarcerated individuals. New York State should NOT profit from forced labor. Join the NYCLU, legislators, community members, and advocates from the 13th Forward Coalition on May 20th at the New York State Capitol for Advocacy Day to help end slave labor in our state. Transportation, food, and lobbying training will be provided!
