Demand Climate Leadership in New York

In just a few months the Trump Administration has made moves to kill community climate and environmental projects while pushing for new gas pipelines in New York, wiping crucial climate data from government websites, and removing federal environmental justice workers. And that’s not it.

Instead of responding to the urgency of this situation, NY Governor Kathy Hochul has delayed critical climate action slated for 2025. Currently, she’s suppressing regulations for Cap and Invest, a program needed to fund our state’s Climate Law, reduce pollution, and invest in disadvantaged communities.

In the face of a hostile federal administration, we need climate leadership, and we need it now.

Join us on March 21 out front of the State Office Building in Syracuse (333 E. Washington St.) to speak out against the climate change denying Trump administration and urge Gov. Hochul to be a climate leader by releasing the Cap and Invest regulations to the public now, passing the NY HEAT Act, and investing in climate.

Bring signs–and some will be provided–and hear from advocates and community leaders from across CNY in support of funding climate justice and standing up to the oil and gas billionaire at the federal level.

As bold as the spirit of New York, we are the NYCLU.
