Capital Region Chapter Marches For Immigration Reform In Washington, D.C.

On Sunday, March 21, several members of the Capital Region Chapter attended the massive rally in Washington, D.C. for comprehensive immigration reform. We joined tens of thousands of advocates from across the country in calling on President Obama and congressional leaders to pass sensible reform that protects everyone’s civil rights and liberties. We boarded a bus in Albany at 2 a.m. with a large contingent of local advocates and met up with the NYCLU’s statewide delegation at 1:30 p.m. in the nation’s capital. It was exhausting but worth it –- a very inspiring day.
