Current Chapters

The NYCLU’s campus chapters are consistently at the forefront of civil liberties education and advocacy efforts on campuses throughout New York. Law school, college, and high school groups work on wide variety of issues each semester. From post-9/11 national security to criminal justice issues to campus free speech policies, campus chapters mirror the NYCLU in their vigilant defense of civil liberties.

Our campus chapters partake in a wide range of education and advocacy efforts. These include debates, panels, lobby visits, demonstrations, tabling, letter-writing, movie screenings, publications, and more.

Student groups also work with the NYCLU on local and statewide campaigns as part of the NYCLU’s larger public education and advocacy efforts.
