Radio Civil Liberties, the New York Civil Liberties Union’s weekly radio show in Buffalo, has switched timeslots and now can be heard live on WBBF AM 1120 every Friday at 1 p.m., or downloaded anytime by visiting www.nycluradio.org.
Radio Civil Liberties has been on the air since 2004. Over the years, the weekly show has featured guests as varied as Chuck D., Cindy Sheehan, Daniel Ellsberg and Howard Zinn. A mix of reporting about New York and national issues, the show explores topics such as voting rights, free speech, the separation between church and state, military recruiting efforts in public schools and whatever else is generating headlines.
“We empower our listeners so that they can be the force of change to enable our state and nation to live up to their promise of liberty and justice for all,” said John Curr, the show’s host and producer, and director of the NYCLU’s Western Regional Office.
