Political leaders, activists, lawyers, and community members will discuss what to do when stopped or arrested by the police, how to handle landlord-tenant disputes, and how these issues are affecting Brooklyn residents now. Participants will also call on the City Council to pass the Charge or Release bill, which will ensure that individuals arrested in New York City are arraigned within 24 hours of arrest.
