“Jeffrey Rosen is among the nation’s most influential legal scholars and journalists,” said Samantha Fredrickson, director of the Nassau County Chapter. “We are thrilled that he will be on hand to apply his insight and expertise to some of the most pressing civil liberties issues facing the country.”
Rosen, a law professor at George Washington University, is legal affairs editor of The New Republic. His essays and commentaries have appeared in The New York Times Magazine, The Atlantic Monthly and The New Yorker.
His most recent book is The Supreme Court: The Personalities and Rivalries That Defined America, which examines how temperament and personal style shape decision making at the U.S. Supreme Court. He also is the author of The Most Democratic Branch, The Naked Crowd and The Unwanted Gaze.
