Police Biometric Ban

The use of biometric surveillance technologies by law enforcement presents a clear danger to all New Yorkers’ civil liberties and threatens to erode our fundamental rights to privacy, protest, and equal treatment under the law. S.5609 / A.1045 would prohibit law enforcement agencies from using biometric surveillance technology and would create a task force charged with comprehensively studying the risks and impact of biometric surveillance by law enforcement.

As bold as the spirit of New York, we are the NYCLU.
