The New York for All Act vs. Governor Hochul’s “Local Cops Local Crimes” Bill

In the wake of ICE’s campaign of terror in Minneapolis, Governor Hochul introduced the “Local Cops, Local Crimes Act,” to temporarily end 287(g) agreements in New York. Her proposal is a start, but falls too far short of what’s needed.
