Comments on CMS Conditions of Participation Rule

The New York Civil Liberties Union submitted the following comments in strong opposition to The Proposed Rule by the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services entitled Medicare and Medicaid Programs; Hospital Conditions of Participation: Prohibiting Sex-Rejecting Procedures for Children, RIN 0938-AV87, CMS-3841-P. The proposed rule would prohibit general hospitals that receive federal Medicare or Medicaid funding from providing gender-affirming care for anyone under the age of 19.
