Over Eighty-Five Groups Call Upon Albany Not To Further Criminalize Political Protest with Unconstitutional “Buffer Zones”

The NYCLU joined 85 advocates and organizations in urging Albany leaders to reject measures to establish demonstration-free buffer zones.We believe such proposals are unconstitutional, unnecessary and at this moment in history, These measures would stifle political speech on issues of global importance and expose more innocent Americans to government brutality simply for speaking their minds.
