Letter Urging NY State to Protect SNAP

The New York Civil Liberties Union joined 257 organizations, service providers, churches, and unions representing millions of New Yorkers, to write a letter urging Governor Hochul, Speaker Heastie, and Majority Leader Stewart Cousins to provide up-front funding for the SNAP program in New York through the entire month of November while the federal shutdown is ongoing.
