Arianna Fishman

Arianna Fishman is the Assistant Director for Communications Campaigns and Strategy for the New York Civil Liberties Union, where she drives the strategic vision for how the NYCLU's work is amplified in the court of public opinion.

Prior to joining the NYCLU in 2020, Fishman was Press Secretary for the New York City Department of Social Services-Department of Homeless Services, where she served as the spokesperson and media relations officer on behalf of New York City’s social safety net programs.

Fishman’s prior experience includes policy and communications advisor roles at Witness, the New York City Commission on Human Rights, and the United Nations Development Programme. She has also managed national digital organizing campaigns for progressive candidates and causes at Bully Pulpit Interactive. Fishman graduated with honors from Wesleyan University and holds a Master’s of Public Policy and Administration from the School of International and Public Affairs at Columbia University.
