Brandon J. Holmes
Brandon J. Holmes is the Hudson Valley Regional Director at the New York Civil Liberties Union. Raised in Orange County, NY, Brandon is a leader in grassroots campaigns to end mass incarceration and improve public health, driven by the ways incarceration has impacted his own family. Before returning to the Hudson Valley, Brandon was a Co-Director at Freedom Agenda – a NYC-based membership organization committed to organizing survivors of Rikers Island & their loved ones to lead campaigns for transformative justice. He is the former New York Campaigns Coordinator at JLUSA, where he managed the #CLOSErikers campaign to develop a citywide plan to permanently reduce citywide jail capacity, invest in community based services, and defend the human rights of incarcerated New Yorkers. Previously, Brandon served as an Organizer for the New York Civil Liberties in 2016.
