Briana Cole

Briana Cole joined the NYCLU in July 2023 as a Major Gifts Officer, focusing on building relationships and securing philanthropic support to advance the organization’s mission. She recently transitioned into a more generalist role as a Development Officer, where she manages fundraising communications, oversees the Annual Impact Report, supports grant-writing efforts, and helps coordinate events.

Prior to joining the NYCLU, Briana worked at the Environmental Defense Fund (EDF), where she managed relationships with monthly and mid-level donors. She holds a B.A. from Ramapo College of New Jersey, where she studied a range of subjects, from journalism to voice performance—singing remains one of her greatest passions.

During the pandemic, Briana decided to turn her passion for civil and human rights advocacy into a career in public service. She earned a Master’s in Public Administration with a focus on Advocacy and Political Action from NYU’s Robert F. Wagner Graduate School of Public Service in May 2023. She lives in her beloved neighborhood of Astoria, where she can often be found snuggled up with her cat, Corey.
