Court Ruling Reaffirms CCRB Investigative Power over Misconduct Investigations

On President’s Day, February 20, a group of musicians, dancers, poets and artists from some of New York’s leading cultural institutions will take part in the Freedom Concert, an evening dedicated to raising funds for the New York Civil Liberties Union. Bass-baritone Joe Chappel and Malcolm J. Merriweather, the Artistic Director of the Dessoff Choirs, will host the concert.
“This group of remarkably talented performers helps us recognize and celebrate the ongoing fight for civil rights and liberties,” said NYCLU Executive Director Donna Lieberman, who will appear at the concert. “We are so grateful to the concert’s organizers and performers for their generous contribution to our work.”
