NYCLU on Trump Rally in Nassau County
Civil Liberties Union
The New York Civil Liberties Union Young Professionals will host an art show and design competition tonight in Brooklyn to benefit the NYCLU’s efforts to protect and promote New Yorkers’ civil rights and liberties. The event, JUST ART ’08, features the work of up-and-coming local artists, who were commissioned to create pieces inspired by issues the NYCLU routinely tackles, including marriage fairness, reproductive rights, censorship, racial profiling and privacy rights. A panel of celebrity fashion designers will judge the artwork. The winning piece will be rendered onto T-shirts or tote bags and sold to raise money for the NYCLU.
