Letter to BOC and DOC Re: Preventative Measures Against COVID-19

The New York Civil Liberties Union wrote a letter to the Board of Corrections and Department of Corrections urging them to make public their plans for prevention and management of COVID-19 in jails and prisons.

The letter poses key questions that the correctional administration must publicly address in order to assure the public — including the loved ones of people in jails and prisons — that there are measures in place to protect the health and safety of all those incarcerated in NYC jails.
