Sign-On Letter: New York Voting Rights Act
The New York Civil Liberties Union, alongside 71 other groups, urge Gov. Kathy Hochul, Majority Leader Stewart-Cousins, and Speaker Heastie to pass and sign into law the John R. Lewis Voting Rights Act of New York (NYVRA). This landmark legislation would root out discrimination against voters of color in New York and immediately make our State a national leader on protecting the right to vote.
